Topic:  The importance of voting and Voting-related matters this election season, from the League of Women Voters viewpoint

Format:  20- or 25-minute program; 10 minutes Q & A
Audience:  The Worthington Women’s Club of Chesterfield, part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (Lee District), an international women’s civic improvement organization.  (Not political.)  Founded in 1890.

Date & Time:  Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Place:  Hopewell Methodist Church (not located in Hopewell, but in Richmond)

Speakers:
Mary Crutchfield, overview of this election season, possibly including the League’s history of holding fair debates and issuing unbiased voter guides– plus maybe including current situation with restoration of felons’ voting rights in VA
Evelyn Glazier, VOTE411 project, and how to use it– and publicize it
Brian Cannon, influence of gerrymandering on voting in VA, and upcoming premier of documentary at LVA
