Pundits galore have written about gerrymandering throughout the U.S., particularly Congressional House districts. Virginia ranks up there with some of the worst. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 8-0 that Virginia illegally gerrymandered its Third Congressional District to pack black votes. North Carolina’s 1st, 4th and 12th Congressional Districts were dubbed “crimes against geography” by the Washington Post. Check out their Rorschach-like silhouettes. It would be almost laughable, if not so sad.
