Solutions to gerrymandering needed, not voter IDs

Letter to the Editor

This letter is in reply to the 8/12/16 letter which seems to cherry-pick points with regard to the conservative/progressive cause of the day; in this case, voter ID laws. The simple fact is that the potential voters most affected by a large majority by the more rigid, and rapidly being judged discriminatory, state laws are citizens who must change their address much more often than we of the more established middle class. They are the underemployed, undereducated, under-the-radar citizens, be they poor, ethnic minority, young, students or otherwise within the more transient among us.
