Election season is upon us. You don’t care? Not planning to vote?

Please know those responses are killing our democracy.

You say your vote doesn’t count? Well, you are partially correct. There are roadblocks that devalue your vote.

One, for example, is the problem of gerrymandering, which occurs in Virginia and other states when the legislative districts are drawn after a census to benefit particular parties (usually the one that happens to be in power then) or particular elected officials.
