With endorsement, Rigell butts heads in a divided GOP

U.S. Rep. Scott Rigell didn’t think it was newsworthy Friday, when he told a reporter he’d be voting Libertarian in the presidential election.

But The New York Times went silent on the other end of the line. The reporter asked Rigell to repeat himself. Suddenly, the Virginia Beach Republican was the poster-congressman for divisions racking the Republican Party in this age of Donald Trump.
